2026 marks the 21st anniversary of TROUGH. From its humble beginnings (in 2005) to its bold introduction and exploration of bringing safe spaces onto the dancefloors of Melbourne. TROUGH for over 2 decades has inspired, influenced, and continues to inhabit, innovate and push the same freedoms and boundaries since its conception.
21 years traditionally celebrates a major milestone or achievement, so on our twenty-first year, TROUGH has officially become the proud owners of our very own venue in Sydney - TROUGH X SYD.
Now that Melbourne queer clubbing can celebrate all the freedoms we have taught and fought for over the years, we believe it’s time to give to a community who still to this day are denied the same freedom, liberties and sexploration inside their queer dance spaces.
Cum celebrate this next chapter, where it all started - inside the basement of INFLATION. For our twenty-first, we would like to celebrate those who have supported and rooted for us, here and abroad, for over 2 decades, to help us get us to where we are today.
